premiere 5.1 audio problems please help

when ever i try to save a movie as an avi file i cannot compress the audio without a box popping up saying an error occurred while making the movie. Then a second box saying error writing file disk full (its not full by the way). its will not save the file. It works fine when i save the movie without audio compression. but as you can guess the resulting file is verry large.

PS I have no problem compressing video.

if the version of premiere is lets say not paid for then somewhere their has been an error. or you are trying to compress audio which is incompatable to that of the video
